A Gender Prayer

For Women

Dear God, my Creator and Sovereign,
Grant me the energy of spiritual authority
gracefully wedded to spiritual power,
that I may be completed to shine forth
as a son made in Your Image;
in Jesus' name.   Amen.

Dear God, my Creator and Sovereign,
Grant me the energy of spiritual power
gracefully wedded to spiritual authority,
That I may be completed to shine forth
as a daughter made in Your Image;
in Jesus' name.  Amen.

 

These two prayers are based on Genesis 1:26-28, in which we learn that we are created in the image of God, male and female.
